This book began as a research project. A re-searching of my professional practices as an educator and artist, an activist and advocate, a systems thinker and theorist. It explores these experiences, references other authors and mentors, and maps the intersections that have been converging in my head over many years. It promotes and documents experiential and collaborative work.
This book is not just for those who identify as artists. It tells stories. It has pictures. Given the chance, we are all creatives/ makers/, thinkers/ doers. As we walk you down my path here, you’ll likely find it’s parallel to yours. There are ideas to start conversations. There are tools for workshops and trainings that can be designed by you and/or me. It can be read cover to cover or randomly for a sense of possibility and awareness.
I do not presume to do anything for you, only with you. Sit. Hear. See. Repeat.
