Vision Realized!

Hello all!

This week in the art group we started with happies and crappies like usual. Our group seemed a little sparse compared to weeks prior. A couple of the residents at Positive Directions moved on from the program and will be missed. It still took us a while to get through everyone because we got caught up in tangents and other stories. Monica (a visiting community artist) brought Gus’s Pretzels and mustard for everyone to share. They were fresh, warm, and so delicious.

We made big moves to hang up our rambling books in the windows at Red Chair. We found some adhesive hooks left over from a previous window display that work perfectly for our display. We also figured out a way to tie the string to the boards that allows for the boards to be tilted for easy viewing. There was a lot of problem solving going on. A few of us also continued to finish their books. Finally, we worked on a title for the show and a short statement about the work.

We are so close to having this project done! Next time we will finish hanging up the books. Then the following week we will have a little open reception during the group time. Very exciting!
