Ted Kerr
In Spring 2019, the culminating event of Ted Kerr’s 4-week residency in St. Louis was held at Red Chair Studios [RCS]. With him, we [transitional housing residents and three local artists] developed a series of interactive, experiential workshops designed to create energy inside and outside the studio. We looked at the politics of self and culture. We thought about maps and memory and community. The individual images were hung in the windows at RCS, and we shared our stories on the street, in real time. The exhibit was memorable and meaningful for many reasons.
