Hi!! New Students!!

Hello All! 

We are Jackie and Yemisi! We are third year graduate students in SIUE’s Art Therapy Counseling program. This semester we are taking a Community Arts class and will be partnering with Peter and Paul Community Services’ CollabARTive Program and Red Chair Studio.  

In our first couple of weeks, we have been working on a project with the Positive Directions Program at PPCS making continuous paper books. Each book is divided into 3 parts: what was in our past, what is in the present, and what we want in our future. These will be hung at the windows at Red Chair Studio on Cherokee. The team is looking forward to it impacting everyone who comes across it. The idea gives hope that whatever the current situation is, there is something to look forward to!  

It has been an exciting experience at Peter and Paul Community Service so far! Everyone has been very welcoming! We look forward to working with Con and the CollabARTive as the semester moves forward.
